Looking into this product, has a couple grams of sugar alcohol. I can't get the horsepills down( broken into 4 pieces per pill), don't like the chewables. So maybe this product will work!?!?!?

I am not a vitamin expert, but a quick google does show it contains Magnesium Citrate, which is readily absorbed by the body (Magnesium Oxide, which most supplements contain, is a good laxative but otherwise useless).

Personally I don't do well with sugar alcohols, but that's not everyone.

They say that one dose is 1200mg, which is two or two-and-a-half times as much as you can absorb at once. You'll have to cut their recommended dose in half, and take it three times a day, each one two hours apart.

So maybe we can make it a go! I figured I would have a teaspoon at a time, and no different then what I was trying with the horse I mean calcium pills! Each pill is 330mg. I hope this solves my problem! All my other vits are great, just struggling with calcium. In the mean time I have been making sure to have my Greek yogurt and cottage cheese everyday to get some calcium in. I don't count the amount in the multi cause its carbonate and not that much. Thank you for your responses!!

I use a similar product. I do have calcium chews as well though, because the product I use needs to be refrigerated after being opened.

I use this. I take one tablespoon 3 times a day. If I'm not home, I use the Bariatric Advantage 500 mg calcium chews. The products I use are a little more pricey than some people like to pay, but they are worth it because I can not take the calcium "petites". They get stuck, and that freaks me out!!

I take UpCal D calcium citrate powder you can add to a drink or put on food. I didn't like the big pills either.

I have been using the calcium patch with vit D and my labs have been good so far.  It's 1000 mg/24 hrs so I still take more orally to get over 1500 mg/day but at least it isn't as many pills.  I have heard a lot of good things about their vitamin patch also so I ordered some today along with the calcium patch.  With the OH2015 discount code it came to under $40.  I can't do a link right now but it is through

I use a couple of options in addition the pills - Upcal D, as someone mentioned above (if I'm having yogurt for breakfast or lunch, I'll mix a scoop in - I can barely tell its there), and Calcet Creamy Bites (they come in chocolate and lemon). I'll occasionally pop one at night if I'm in the mood for something sweet.

All sorts of options!! I am a weird one, the chews(at least some of the samples I have had) are so sweet and gross! I tried a gnc chewable women's multi vitamin tonight and a few chews in and had to spit it out!!! Oh so gross!! I really like the taste of this new liquid calcium! Hope it helps keep my levels up!

calcium carbonate is not going to do anything for you except possibly cause kidney stones.
