What is it with bagel day?  Thursday is bagel day at my office too and I sit directly across from the kitchen.  all morning long there is nothing but the smell of toasted bagel!  Resist, resist, resist!!!!

Congrats!! That is awesome!

I would tell 19 yr old Sarah to focus and get a degree. My one regret is not finishing college. But I also know I would have a different life now if I took different paths then and I really love my life now. So maybe I would jus****ch her from a distance and smile because I know that right now she's making a mess but later it is fabulous!

I love the advice (or lack thereof).  I always think back and wonder "what if" but all in all I know my decisions were just fine because I'm happy where I am. :)

I actually have time to post today! Lily and I have our three miles done already. I have cut out my other exercise because my weight dropped down into the underweight range. On track with vitamins and fluids and here's the food plan: B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein powder and half a banana with peanut butter L 31/2oz chicken and a small nectarine D 31/2 oz ground turkey with salsa and 1/2 c cookedm cabbage. Post op about 35 months and weight at 115.6 today. I would tell 20 year old Karen to do what makes herself happy and quit worrying about what 9thers think.

Good morning!  The low carb life is wonderful.  I think the main thing for me is to realize it is a long term lifestyle.  Thankfully I can't eat bread the way I used to so that shouldn't be too much of an issue.  Occasionally I'll find myself eating crackers like a mad woman so I really just have to kick them to the curb.

Time since surgery 10months

B: bacon, egg, and some hollandaise sauce

S: peanuts

L: turkey & cheese roll ups

D: turkey taco salad with avocado

Totals Cals: 1054, Protein: 69 Carbs: 12

Woo, Nikki!!! So awesome on reaching goal!!!

Let's see, I would tell my 25 year old self to tough it out and stay in grad school.  I would have made an awesome librarian.  Just sayin'.

Oh, I'm sure you guys aren't wondering, but I didn't get the promotion I applied for.  But what did happen was that my Director essentially created a job for me that comes with a slightly lesser pay increase and some new responsibilities; many of which I'm already doing.  LOL  So, disappointing, but pretty great at the same time.  She also said that if the other position is still open in a month or so, they'll revisit.  I think that she really wanted me in that coordinator role, but wants me to prove myself first.  Bring it!

B: coffee and a L&F Greek Key Lime

S:  34 crackers with Laughing Cow and some beef jerky

L:  Buffalo chicken salad, pork rinds and a cheese stick

D:  Krab salad made with a HB egg, olive oil mayo, green onions and horseradish in lettuce cups

TOTALS:  Cals:  838  Protein:  80  Carbs:  50 (ha!)  Fat:  32

Have a great day my friends!  I'm off to train the new girl...

I'm sorry your didn't get the promotion but it is way cool that they created a new job for you!  Also, it sounds like the next time that position is available you'll be a lock.  They seem to be paving the way for you :)

Library science, huh?  When I think librarian I always default to "naughty librarian", ugh me and my dirty mind!  LOL.
