I did this for health reasons, not just cosmetic reasons.  However, I do not want to get my hopes too high.  Why do so many people have skin removed?  After all the emotional strain and hard work of surgery, you enjoy the perks!  I'm finally happy to have men check me out again, but I don't plan to ever wear a bikini!  My husband could care less about the scars, but I'm just curious!

for many, having excess skin removed Is one of the "perks". For many, the journey is not finished until the skin is removed. How far out are you?

The morning of my surgery, I tried to get my surgeon to make the scars look like bullet holes. Maybe add a couple in back, to make it look like a through-and-through. He wouldn't go for it.
