3 weeks until I make the jump

Hi everyone.  I've been lurking here off and on for the past few months.  My surgery date is set, and I'm having RNY in three weeks on August 4th.  I'm so nervous, but I have to say that reading your posts have helped me immensely.  I enjoy reading the posts where you list what you are eating, it helps me pre-op to get an idea of what life will be like after surgery.  I'm pleasantly surprised at the foods I see listed, and I'm just so excited to start the journey.

I'm 42 and have two kids.  My oldest is going to be 16, but it's the youngest who is 19 months that really made my decision to have the surgery.

Mine is a week after yours I am also very nervous,and excited at the same time I have three children and I want to live long to get to see grandchildren and great grandchildren LOL.

Congratulations to you! I will be at per-surgery seminar that day and I will be sending good thoughts your way!  

I'm hoping to have my RNY close to your date (fingers crossed, I should get my date this week).  I have a 16 month old so, I completely understand the drive you have to have the surgery.  Too hard to have a toddler let alone extra weight weighing you down and making you tired.  Here's to us!

I am in the same boat as you my surgery is scheduled for August 11. I am scared but looking forward to being healthy again. Good luck and I hope to hear of your progress.
