What's on your menu, (Photo) Friday?
Hi! I'm Missy. I'm 48 years old and have been married 25 years to my college sweetheart. We live in the Houston area. I have worked for the same law firm for 19 years. I work part-time. I'm very blessed to work the hours I do. It allows me to get home at a good time to spend time with my family. Speaking of family - mine is my very handsome hubby, our 19 year old daughter and 14 year old son. If someone would have told me that my son was going to be the drama queen once he became a teenager compared to our daughter, I would have laughed. I'm not laughing anymore. :)
I am recovering still after having a revision from lap band to RNY seven weeks ago. I'm down 29 pounds and very excited about it. My family and I love to travel, but I always feel like I'm holding them back because I simply don't move as fast as they do. When we went to France two summers ago, we had a code word - "TURTLE" - when I said that it meant y'all are getting too far ahead of me. I'm looking forward to a trip where there are no code words.
I'm still struggling a bit with energy level and feeling good. I'm still testing out what foods agree and disagree with me. Here's what I think my day is going to look like.
B - Premier Protein Shake
L - Chicken Salad
D - Crustless Pizza
Snacks are always a maybe if I have room for them after vitamins and water.

Good (late) morning. I had court this morning and it made posting difficult.
Question of the day: My name is Stacy and live in Sherman Oaks, a suburb of Los Angeles. I'm an attorney and I have one furkid -- a siberian husky named Nikolai. It is Nikolai's world and he allows me to live in it. I always say that if reincarnation is real, I want to come back as my dog. He is ridiculously spoiled. I am totally in on the carb challenge!!
Food for the day:
B: Ground turkey with spinach and feta
S: Grande Skinny Vanilla latte and gouda moon cheese (a new snack at Starbucks. I may be late to the party on this, but it looks good - 7 crisps for 70 calories, 1 carb and 5g of protein)
L: Grilled Chicken
S: light and fit and PB2
D: Salmon and stir fry veggies (this may change as I'm meeting a friend for shopping and dinner after work)
Totals: Cal: 820, Protein: 99g; Carbs: 33g, fat 22g
Have a great weekend everyone!
Definitely ready for the weekend happy dance. Have a bad cold coming on and wish I could just leave work and crawl back into bed! My given name is Dawn and I was born, raised and still live in San Diego, CA. I just turned 53 this week. I'm happily divorced with no kids. I have a fantastic Yellow Lab Mix named Hopie, and a mean, ornery Parrot (Sun Conure) that will likely outlive me by 50 years. Oy Vey.
I'm 5 months and 1 day post surgery and kickin' butt!
Menu today:
B - Premier Protein drink with Cashew Milk, Caramel syup and pepermint extract
L - Dannon L&F Yogurt with PB2

My surgery was 40 days ago & I am currently on the soft food phase. I have my next appointment with my doc on July 16th. I am anxious that he will clear me for weights and Zumba.
