My favorite food right now is Brussels sprouts.  I have a sprout or two with every meal.  Cut in quarters, sauteed on the cut sides with a little olive oil, then simmered in a little broth.  finish with a little vinegar and omg its heaven!!

Good Morning All,

Long time no post as work has been crazy and I dont' see it letting up anytime soon.  My go to food of the moment is tofu "egg" salad mainly b/c it takes like 2 minutes to make and requires no cooking or turning on of any appliances :)  My favorite type of meal. Then eating it with all the great summer cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers.

Time since surgery: 17 months

B: Jimmy Dean light breakfast sandwich (not the best choice but it tasted amazing this morning)

L: Work lunch, so salad or a chicken breast

D: Tofu salad with veggies

W/V - On track

E: Did a 5am Barre class and will try and get a 30 min walk in at lunch today

Have a great Wed everyone!

Good afternoon! I am new to this site and loving reading everyone's menus to get ideas. Today I have my 6 month post op appointment.

Lunch: 1/2 luna protein bar since I have my follow up appt

Dinner: 3/4 Morningstar spicy bean burger and 3/4 slice cheese

snacks: 1 full premier shake, 1/2 roasted edamame, and 2 small pickles

exercise and vitamins: done

Totals: calories 619, carbs 49, fat 19 and protein 74

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning, all.  I've been away from the thread for a few days and the scale is totally reflecting the fact that I need the public accountability. I had to go to a memorial service for a friend on monday and literally ate (and drank -- my first glass of wine since my surgery) my emotions away.  That combined with the 4th of July, where my eating was less than stellar has resulted in a 2 lb gain.  I need to nip it in the bud and that starts right now.

B:  4 oz of ground turkey with spinach and feta cheese

S: Dannon Light and Fit with PB2, Grande Skinny Vanilla Latte

L:  Grilled Chicken

D: New York Strip with grilled onions

S:  Peanuts

Totals: Cal. 905; Protein - 104g; Carbs - 36g; Fat - 28g

Thank you.  It's definitely teaching me that my emotional eating is still around.  It's also teaching me to not take anything for granted and to try and make decisions in your life that make you happy.  After I heard about her I decided to make a move and quit the firm I'm currently at.  Hopefully I can keep my eating in check the next week and a half and get through my last day at work.  You guys will be great support for that!
