I made the gigantic mistake of trying yogurt again today. My menu is shot while my pouch figures out how long it is going to be snarky.

B-mini spinach,egg,bacon,cheese quiche no crust

S1-the yogurt of doom

Everything else today--?

Good morning Nikki!  I haven't been on in a few weeks.  I hurt myself and it threw me for a loop.  Sorry to hear that your back is bothering you.  Back pain is terrible.  I hope it resolves quickly!

Time since surgery:  8.5 mos

Breakfast:  1 scrambled egg, 1 slice turkey bacon

snack:  1/2 protein shake

Lunch:  chicken sausage

Snack:  1/2 protein shake

Dinner:  Chicken "taco"

W/V:  started

exercise:  walk on treadmill - 1 hour

I am exited that you posted the low carb challenge.  I have been in Las Vegas for the past 5 days with my son, he had a Trap Shooting Event. Tons of fun, but the eating and carb consumption was not on track!!  

I had my surgery on October 30, 2013.  I got down to 115 pounds (which was a bit to thin).  I slowely started gaining, was up to 140.  I went into a bit of a panic!!  I decided that I needed to stop eating carbs and sugar.   Carby foods are just so easy sometimes, but not worth the weight gain!  So......before we left for Las Vegas I was down to 131, very happy, the low carbs and NO sugar is working.  We got home late last night, weighed myself this morning......135.2, not as bad I thought it was going to be (there was a Starbucks right at the bottom of the elevator in the hotel, most days I visited it twice).  

Today I am getting back on track.......don't go back to work unitl tomorrow.  Meal planning is a bit more difficult when I am not working, but I have started my day so far with a cup of coffee, no cream, 1 packet of splenda and 1 TBSP of Torani's sugar free caramel syrup.  It is acutally pretty good.

Welcome!  I haven't been to Las Vegas in a couple of years but I can guarantee I would gain more than 4 lbs in alcohol alone ;)

B: 2 boiled egg, 1/2 cup cheerios and 1%milk

L: 2 roasted chicken drumsticks (w/o skin) & sliced carrot (maybe 1/4 cup?? ...really about 6 sliced pieces)

Dinner: uncertain, but likely 2 slices deli roast beef, sauteed with peppers and cheese. 

Totals so far w/o dinner: 520 calories, 47 protein 24 carbs, 25 fat

Great timing.  I could really benefit from the low carb challenge.

B: Coffee with milk & a kind plus bar

S: Coffee with milk

L: Salad with chicken breast

D: Salad with goat cheese and strawberries

S: String cheese and protein shake
