5 month Update
One thing I didn't know prior to surgery is that oral birth control (any oral medication) is not as effective. A second method of birth control is recommended. To make matters worse, as you lose weight, you will become very very fertile. If these are things that might impact you, it might be a good idea to consult with your GYN prior to surgery.
Hi Bonnie,
That is so inspiring! I am a little over two weeks out from my surgery and Dr. Takahashi was my surgeon too! I have lost 17 lbs in 2 weeks and then stalled out for the last 4 days, despite sticking strictly to the plan. I've kind of had the blues about it. Reading your great report has helped my blues especially since we had the same surgeon.
Congrats!!

Hi there
congratulations on the surgery. I know Takahashi is tough but could not have a better surgeon.
Just so you know you are in the 3 week stall. If you seach 3 week stalls on this website you will see tons of posts. Just stay calm. Think happy thoughts and it will pass.
I attend a support group on the 1st Monday of the month and nutrition class the second Tuesday of the month which I really enjoy. Both held at the hospital.
Any questions let me know. I have been passed from dr. T to Pat now in the same office. But I like her. I won't see Dr. T to my one month appointment
one more thing. Drink lots of fluids before your labs. Even the morning of the draw. Sometimes they take up to 8 vials.
Take care
