Corn on the cob? Yes or no?
Corn is not a veggie. It is a grain, and not one of the good grains at that. You don't say when you had your surgery, but it wasn't allowed under my plan until after six weeks. Even so, I still don't eat it because it is high in carbs and low in nutritional value.

My plan does not allow corn in any whole grain form for at least one year. In the pre-surgery seminars, we were told this is about digestion issues. They made a really big deal about it. So, corn kernels and popcorn were one of the biggest no-no's of all.
Butter isn't the problem...it's the corn itself.
Corn doesn't bring anything to the table nutrition wise, so especially if you are less than a year out, just avoid it and go with protein rich foods.

When I think of corn, I remember that they give corn to pig's to fatten them up. So I stay away from that.

I never thought of that. That is great inspiration to stay away from all things corn. ( not that I need much inspiration, corn products make me feel icky. )
