There is very little actual evidence suggesting it helps inflammation in humans.
Research DOES suggest you should be careful taking it if you have bleeding trouble or GERD. Otherwise, it's best to ask your pharmacist or doctor.

I skip the capsules and add it to my foods. Turmeric is anti-bacteria and antifungal, which is really good. Lots of free recipes online. There is also cabbage and other foods that do the same. There is also turmeric milk which is good and tasty too. I am RNY, and I incorporate herbs and seasoning in my foods, and not meds. Meds side effects are scary and I try to stay as healthy as possible post op, since I'm in it for the long haul. You will have to experiment on what flavors you want or like. Biggest thing is ask your doctor for advice since note sure about your specific meds... I just eat them. I practice clean eating.
Hello I have been taking turmeric for the past two years. All my doctors, diabetic, PC, surgeon and orthopedic doctors think is a good idea. It helps me some, and do notice when I forget for few days.
