Who takes them and what kind?  I'm having tummy troubles and my nutritionist suggest trying probiotics.

I never said it would be easy. I said it would be worth it.

I take the True Nature probiotic from Costco.  They have been working pretty well for me.  My husband takes the Good Belly ones that are in the little juice drinks.  They work very well for him, but they are not very portable since they need to be refrigerated.

My dietitian suggested trader joe's brand. Just make sure you get the ones that are about $15 for 60. The cheaper ones do not have enough organisms. She said to take one a day for two weeks, and then take two weeks off. You don't want to take them everyday for too long because your body will become dependent.

If you don't like the idea of adding yet another pill, you might want to try Kefir.  I add this probiotic drink to my daily, morning protein smoothie.  Beware, the flavored Kefir is much higher in sugar than the plain, unsweetened which has 12 grams of sugar in one cup.  I buy it at Walmart for $2.50/quart found in the milk section.
