Stall...so soon?

I am 3 months post op, I had a rapid loss the first month, which was 35 lbs. Then it slowed down, a total of 53 lbs today. I can physically see the weight loss, I've gone down 4 pant sizes. But I feel like I haven't lost very much for this stage. How long do stalls last, do they happen this early on?

Yike it sounds to me like you're doing amazing, but there is a link on this site to a planner that can estimate your progress each month if you stay on plan.  http://www.obesityhelp.com post+op+planner.php  Itll give you an idea of where you will be each month.  when you type in your weight, type in your starting weight not the weight you are now... But remember its your journey and if you stay on plan youll get there...

Good luck!

doesn't sound like a stall.  you are losing weight at a great pace.  it will never be like the first month again, but you will steadily go down.  it's a marathon, not a sprint.  hang in there and enjoy!

Thanks, I need to slow down my thinking and take it one day at a time!

I haven't had the surgery yet- in my 6 month waiting period, but if I lost 35 pounds in a month, I would be so amazed and you should be too! 4 pants sizes is a great accomplishment in such a short time!

Keep up the great work!
