I am trying to keep in mind my new mantra, be kind. Sigh. Does everyone have a app or whatever 'old lady here' I see the menus and then the calories on some posts and it just seems unrealistic. I seriously want everyone of you to succeed, that is the reason I came back to OH after all these years. I was helped by so many. In here and many times heard things I didn't want to hear but I feel I need to give back. That being said, some snacks are twice as much as I would eat for a meal. When I see 'spoonful' I remember pre op my spoonful was more like half a cup, not saying yours is!! I just am saying, portion control is the whole secret to success . Please don't be mad I am not saying this to bash omg no way.
I understand what you're saying. Sometimes I quick list my menu, just because no-one wants to see 21 gms of angel hair pasta. So, I do weigh/measure everything, and use My Fitness Pal, but I'll use shorthand when I'm describing it here. I think most of us who contribute to this thread do the same.
And hi!
I think most of use MyFitnessPal for our nutritional info. I personally double check the info from app against the individual package information. I also weigh 98% of the things I eat in order to assure I am logging and eating the correct amounts. I never trust a "spoonful". I try not to be too detailed in my posts as this thread is only for support and ideas to others. Some days I end up deviating from my listed menu but I ALWAYS log my food, even if its a bad day.
Good morning all! Good luck on the interview, you will do fine... remember they have been wink-winking at you.
My weekend was rather boring. I have got to get a life!!! LOL So, today I go into my WLS office for my 3 month check, but in reality, I will be 4 months out on the 2nd. I am not worried about anything but seeing the results of my labs. And, I am not worried because if anything is down, there will be a plan to get the numbers back up. I don't t like having to weigh in late afternoon... but that's okay, too, because it will be within a lb or 2 of this morning's weigh in at home. And, my numbers look okay.
My menu this morning:
B1: Tea with SugarLeaf
B2: Apple Pie 100 calorie greek yogurt
L: 2.5 oz of talapia with 1/4 cup green beans
S: 1.25 oz Cabot's Seriously Sharp Cheese and 1 Hard Boiled Egg (white only... hate the yolk)
D: 1 serving Turkey Cheeseburger Meatloaf (about 3-4 ozs), 1/4 cup of GG veggies (if I can handle it)
S: Strawberry Protein Ice Cream (I cannot tell you how much Eggface's protein ice cream has helped satisfy my ice cream jones... will be experimenting with more flavors to come)
Totals: Calories - 636, Protein - 65, Carbs - 37, Sugars - 23, Fat - 25
Everyone have a wonderful day!!

I LOVE the rain. the more thunder and lightning the better. Its calming for me and makes me happy. Its raining right now and its helping me through a tough morning. But, yes, the grass is growing tall and its a jungle in our backyard.
Talk about dreams, mine have been TERRIBLE! The pain meds I am on are making them super vivid, and they are all about insecurity. I'm having a hard couple of weeks and its giving me a ton of anxiety. The dream last night was about my husband leaving me. OMG it was terrible. And of course the butthead just said "You're silly, I'm not going anywhere ever" and expects me to be ok. lol
I had my first dumping syndrome episode this morning I guess so I'm not even going to include my protein shake that made me dump.
