I prefer the light and fit greek yogurt -- less calories, too --

Relax and don't be so hard on yourself. I still have trouble meeting my goals, and I still drink half a protein shake everyday to make it possible. At my two week follow up, my dietitian told me that they don't expect anyone to be able to meet their goals so quickly and she was just happy I was trying because the patient before me was getting zero grams of protein a day. The first few months are frustrating because of the extreme restriction, but you will learn to adjust and the restriction will get better. I remember getting really upset that I couldn't eat more, but those feelings have subsided quite a bit.

Slow down girl!  Protein shakes are your friend now as there is NO WAY you can eat enough to meet your numbers.  Sip slowly and all day long.

You will be able to drink gallons later - I promise!  These are baby steps.  In a few months you'll have forgotten all this until you see a post like this one!

I am in the same boat. I am not getting anywhere close to my 64 oz of water and I know I am not getting all my protein in. I think for right now all we can do is keep trying. We are still healing at times our new stomachs are swollen and can't take as much food. I spoke with my doctor about it and he said all you can do is try to get as close to your goals as possible. Each day will get better. :)

I never drank a shake and did just fine. You are still healing, don't be so hard on yourself. Another thing I hear past banders say they don't get that full feeling. You won't. Best wishes
