How much did you have to lose before people started noticing?

I understand that this can be discouraging. When you see someone everyday they don't see changes in you the way people who don't see you as often.

It does take a while after surgery for some people to notice.

i have lost about 22 lbs so far and alittle over 1 month out of surgery. i havent noticed much but my mom is very encouraging. she says she is starting to see some difference but i dont notice much. i think it will take alittle longer and more weight to come off before i or anyone else notices. good luck

I lost over 200# and was unrecognizable to most people yet there were a select few who knew exactly who I was--strange.  Since you work in a law firm, my guess co-workers know to watch what they say or don't say plus they are silently processing and adjusting to your rapid change, too. Affirmation from within is what counts, anyway.

I had lost nearly 70 lbs before I received unsolicited comments.

70 pounds!!

But, in their defense, I started at 344 lbs.

Now, I am actually sick of hearing about my weight loss.  As someone else stated, it evens out!

I think I lost about 30 or so,pounds when my SIL noticed.  The day I went back to work after being off 3 weeks, I,lost my job, so it was hard to say about people I work with.  But I have observed over the years, that if you see a person every day, it's hard to notice they have lost weight, compared to someone you have not seen in awhile.  That was the case with my SIL, i don't see her that often.  It's kinds funny when I see people I have not seen I years..the look on their faces.
