Measuring is good, but another good thing is to learn your High Level Alarm.  When your pouch fills you'll get a signal (an HLA).  Mine is when my nose starts to run.  Some folks sniffle, others hiccup, still others belch.  When you learn your signal and it occurs, STOP EATING RIGHT THEN because you're done.

Yup!  My nose starts running.   I got that last night.   It was weird because I had measured everything and it happened at 1.5 ounces.   I took it as a sign that my pouch was not feeling like stretching for dinner and stopped.   I'm glad I did.   About 20 minutes later I felt a little over full but could only imagine what I'd feel like if I ate all 3 ounces.

Be very careful with that.   Shot glasses vary in size by a lot.   A standard shot glass used by bartenders is 1.25 ounces.   (old bartender and bar owner here)  some novelty shot glasses that you buy as keepsakes are 2, sometimes 3 ounces.   And cordial glasses can vary between 1 to 5 ounces.
