What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Oh! I've read one of his Jack Reacher novels, but I can't for the life of me remember the title. I remember I enjoyed it, though. LOL
ETA: I remembered! It was A Wanted Man. Good book.

It's funny, everyone makes the same joke about overdue fines at the library, but for most libraries that's like a minuscule part of the budget. But we thank you for them anyway!
I primarily read young adult fiction and I just finished three fantastic but incredibly sad books: How It Went Down (the story of a -possibly- unarmed, -possibly- gang affiliated black teenager being shot and killed by a white man), We Were Liars (a rich teenage girl dealing with the aftermath of personal tragedy - the particular tragedy is a secret), and Saint Anything (another right teenage girl dealing with the aftermath of tragedy - her brother's DUI accident which resulted in a young man being paralyzed and the brother doing time in prison). I need a good laugh now!
Also happy to report some scale movement in the right direction after nothing good for ages. I had been down to 157, then up to 162 and hovering at 160-162 for ages. Ultimately I'd like to be in the 155-165 range long term, so this is acceptable to me, but for one glorious moment I want to see 155 on the scale so I can say I made my personal goal....so this morning (I weigh daily but Wednesday is my official day for recording) I was back to 159, I haven't seen a 15_ for too long!

HA! When everyone was posting their latest purchases yesterday it dawned on me that I owned a lot of black and tan and that I had worn a similar outfit (khaki colored crop pants and a black t-shirt) for two days in a row. I decided to challenge myself to do it all week because I'm pretty sure I can and not repeat anything. LMAO I need some color in my closet!
Good morning,
Gorgeous day here today after yesterday's fast moving storms.
The last book I read was "Real Life & Liars" by Kristina Riggle. Though I am now reading on my kindle "Texas Yankee Honeymoon" part two of a series that a friend's husband wrote. It's OK, I'm reading in support of the author, but not really my cup of tea. I am an avid reader, I will read two books a week usually, sometimes more depending on the genre. Some books are my "brain candy" and then there are the ones that make me think. I go through my small town library too quickly. I own a kindle, but would never have bought it myself. I love the feel and smell of a book. I like to re-read my old favorites too. I probably should have been a librarian or a bookseller.
Congratulations on the scale moving. I finally broke my stall and am now at 208. Can't wait to hit onederland.
