The Right Weight
I am also 29 and between 5'5 and 5'6. My highest weight was 305 but had surgery a few years later at 266.
Had surgery october 1st 2013 and have been pretty much maintaining anywhere between 143-148. Lowest I went was 140 and although I liked seeing that number, I wasn't eating enough to successfully maintain that long term. At my weight now (146) I can eat between 1100-1300 cals and be completely satisfied.
Everybody says I look like I weigh less cause I have a really bony upper body and work out. I just got a breast augmentation and arm lift 3 months ago and really happy with my overall look. Gonna need a tummy tuck and thigh lift eventually cause I was left with a lot of loose skin overall.
I have some pics in my profile - was about 150-152 in those pics.
I think just like you so I can understand. No one has given me a goal weight except myself. I chose 150 because I "think" that would be a nice weight. haven't seen it since I was around 13. However, I am 35 and not even 5'1'', so my "ideal weight" is somewhere around 110... really!!?? I dont forsee myself getting there. I am sure it is possible and I love to think I could, I guess I just can't believe it could happen. Therefore, I chose 150 as being a weight I think I would be comfortable with, then if I hit it and go below, yay. If I go below, then regain a little and still stay at 150 I would still be happy. If you are taking a goal, do what makes you comfortable. Just remember it is a goal but isn't a requirement.
I am 5'6" and I picked 180 because that is what I weighed in college and I looked "normal". I kept losing though, and eventually got down to 145. I looked like a workcamp inmate at 145, but that is where my body went. I am now settled comfortably at 150-160 and feel great. I still thought I looked and felt fine at 180 too though...
