What food did you love before RNY you now hate?

I don't hate food in particular - I REALLY, REALLY miss ice cream.  It was like crack to me before and now it's my kryptonite.  I can't even do the sugar free stuff or even sugar free yogurt.  I am a power dumper.  Anything with the tiniest bit of sugar or too many sugar alcohols and my day is ruined. I'm going to look into getting one of those Yonana thingies that you use fruit in to make sorbet. I know I have watch out for too many sugars in the fruit.

Oh, and I'm beginning to despise chicken.  It gets stuck and the results are well . . . not desirable.

At the moment garlic smells and tastes HORRIBLE to me!!  I used to LOVE adding garlic to my food while cooking etc!

I can not stand cottage cheese. It was such a treat durn my per surgery diet and during my liquid/soft phase but now I can not stand the sight of it. I'm only about 4 weeks post op so I haven't tried any sugar yet and i don't know if I every will. I have heard so many horror stories about dumping that I don't dare, and I don't really "crave" it anymore. I don't really "crave" food like I used to. I get hungry, I eat the highest protein thing I get my hands on that's about it. Although I did have some wheat toast with butter and that was amazing!

I'm only 4+ months out and have not tried anything I'm not supposed to have.  So, that's a hard question to answer.  I can tell you though, that everything still smells as yummy as it ever did, and I still drool all over my steering wheel when I drive by a KFC and smell all that fried chicken!  And when I pass by the deli counter at the grocery store, the pasta dishes sing my name... but I keep walking.  One day, if/when I ever try this stuff again, I hope it tastes awful!

Pasta, chicken, and beef. The meat thing was gradual, but now the taste and texture make me gag.

My tastes haaen't changed at all. Things I liked before, I stil like, and things I didn't like, I still don't.

There are things I haven't eaten at all since surgery, like pasta, so I don't know about those.

Coffee! And it's such a disappointment. I loved the stuff....

Oh- and water names nauseous so I have to flavor it.

I sure wish sweets didn't appeal to me.  I haven't had them but they still make me go crazy in the head thinking of them....

I have tried pork and it does not agree with me.  I use to love French fries, etc. now I have no interest in them.

Forgot to add, I have not drank pop in like 2 years and I don't miss it.  Just keep on drinking my water and milk in my shakes.

While there are a lot of foods I avoid now because they make me ill, I can't say that I hate them. In fact, if I could eat them, I probably would.

Oddly, the only thing I have lost my desire for consuming is ice water. I used to drink a lot of ice water, but now it needs to have Mio or another substance in it for me to drink. Otherwise, it makes me nauseous.
