update on my craziness
Hi all! Well yesterday I took a very quick turn for the worst and my doctor decided emergency surgery. He got into my gut and found the intestine was actually stuck up in one of my gallbladder incisions which could have happened at any time! It was corrected quickly and I feel amazing! I'm on ice chips today and clears tomorrow. I get full liquids and pureed foods the day after tomorrow! I'm so excited!
Unfortunately I have a lot of healing to still do. It's like hitting a reset button. So I have the gassy walks still to take and a lot of pain meds. I'm keeping myself occupied thinking of what to eat in the full phase of things. Plus this weekend we go pick up the kids in North Carolina. I'm so excited to see them and I need to squeeze them and love on them a lot.
This complication certainly threw a wrench in a lot of things. It made my first 2 weeks fly by of surgery, for sure. No telling how much I weigh right now. there is a scale here that I have access to however I get one it says one thing, I get on again and it's 20 pounds in either direction. So I can't wait to get home and see how that is doing.
So that's where I'm at. Thank you to everyone who offered up prayers. they were well received and very needed.
I was so sorry to hear of your complications! But it sounds like you are on the upswing. Only good things from here on out! Blesssings

I'm glad you are going to listen to your doctor (sadly many don't). I would think 10 hours in a car would be tough.
I'm glad they figured out the problem and fixed it. Happy healing!!

Yeah I'm not the type to go against orders. These guys went to medical school for years. I didn't. Thankfully if we do go out won't just be a straight 10 trip. We will be breaking it into 2 days and stopping at a lot of antique malls. Lot of walking. And we have a really nice van that I can stretch out in easily.
