I just had my A1c checked in preparation to see my endocrinologist next Friday. I was diagnosed in 2008 at 8.3%, my high since then was 7.4% in 2013 on 4 different meds (3 oral and a non-insulin injectable), most recent was 5.8% in January on 3 meds and after losing 50 lbs. I've now been off all meds for 7 weeks and my A1c is at 5.6%! I hope that's good enough that my endo will say I can stay off my meds!

Sounds great to me!  Being in remission for Diabetes II was one on the best parts for me.  Just remember, it is ONLY remission and you really need to stay in touch with yourself.  I keep and use a blood glucose meter to this day.
