back in the hospital
Well, I'm back. My first full day nothing seemed right. Pain level was high and I just couldn't seem to get in the required proteins and liquids. I felt off and depressed.
Fast forward to 11pm that night. I took my final passion mess for the day. Tried to take in an ounce of apple juice and couldn't even get past more than just wetting my mouth. I laid down and the pain started increasing instead of decreasing. i suddenly thought i needed to go to the bathroom. Got up, went to the toilet, and vomited black gelatinous stuff and tons of green liquid. I almost passed out from the pain. called my husband, vomited a second time and when done I found him out side the toilet room holding clothes and shoes. He took me to the hospital where I continued to throw up a quart of bile every two hours. CT scan shows I have an intestinal hernia cutting off all digestion and bile went into over production to try and clear the blockage. Needless to say it's been the worst 24 hours ever. They are trying to see if they can get it to resolve itself but tomorrow we determine if I have to go back in for surgery or not.
Holy crap! That's super scary. I'll be thinking of you and praying everything resolves itself quickly.
So update. They shut down my bile production and digestive juice reduction, whichasked the nurse for help but she thought i was oddly makes me nauseous so I'm on heavy anti nausea meds.
When I did throw up last night I aspirated a little which was extremely painful. that's something I recommend never doing. It's not a party. I have some serious sensitivity in my throat and upper lungs now.
So I think I go for a CT scan at some point today.
Amy, good luck to you. Keep us posted on what's going on. PM me if you need moral support. I too had to go in the following day for another surgery. :( xoxo
