What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
on 6/18/15 7:57 am
Bug bites do suck. I am glad you got it checked out. My menu seems to stay the same sometimes for breakfast or lunch. Dinner if I am by myself is usually the same things. It makes like easier.
B:Egg whites with ham and cheese
L:Banana cream yogurt with crush dusted almonds
D:Steak with salad or chicken
S:Maybe a yogurt or a pack of almonds.
Have a great day. I am getting my hair done. I may change the color not sure though.
Water is going down and vitamins are in for the morning.
I agree on the bugs! The minute the misquitos come out I become more of an inside girl... which sucks!!
Today was rough, i must be low on iron or protien or whatever. I am dragging in the morning, big time! I went to the store this am, and was so out of it I left my cell phone in the cart in the parking lot. Thank goodness someone took it inside...
Going to try and get down all my iron vits today to help. Usually they make my pouch unhappy.
11 days out
B: 1/2 pkt very thin cream of wheat w/ milk
S: nothin... just realized it is lunch time!
L: soup, butternut or lobster bisque
S: popsicle, SF
D: Wonton soup or something available (DD has gymnastics tonight, so eating out)
S: Jello, SF
Oooh, your wonton soup makes me want Chinese! I haven't had it in ages and I love wonton/egg drop soup. Maybe tomorrow!
You just had surgery. Exhaustion is perfectly normal. I was exhausted for 6 months. Rest up and feel better soon.

Good morning everyone!
AV, glad the bug bite is a bug bite! At least you know and you are prepared if it does go into an infection.
I don't know what is wrong with me today but I have a pouty pouch. Just not feeling great today... I veered off of my menu last night and ate 2 Yasso bars. Stupid, stupid, stupid... I cannot handle those carbs. I have got to get my head to understand that Petunia (pouch) gets very wonky if too many carbs are consumed. And, then what did I do in a morning meeting, today, but eat a 100 calorie pack of Snyder's mini pretzels. Back on track as of now!!!!
I think my main problem is that I am having to rush in the morning to get my lunch and snacks together... I need to start doing this the night before so I am not just throwing stuff together.
Menu today:
B1: Tea and SugarLeaf
B2: Mini pretzels (why????)
L: Chicken Florentine (about 2.75 oz of chicken and about 2 tablespoons of spinach
S: Yoplait 100 calorie orange creme greek yogurt (that I didn't eat yesterday)
D: 3 oz of talapia and a little tartar sauce
S: Protein Hot Chocolate
Totals: Calories - 847, Protein - 70, Carbs - 70 (darn pretzels), Sugars - 29, Fats - 244
Vitamins and Water - Started, Exercise - just walking and arms
Everyone has a good day!!!
I have to make sure my lunch and snack stuff is ready to go the night before. It takes so long to weigh everything and portion it out that if I left it until the morning I would likely leave the house empty handed.
And I haven't seen that orange yogurt, but it sounds good! I may have to swing by Walmart on my way home!
Edited because I was randomly capitalizing words. LOL
The orange creme yogurt was pretty good! And, yes, I have been late for the last 2 days at work because I am having to measure out a 1/2 oz of this and 2 oz of that. And, that was why I picked up pretzels... I didn't make sure that I had an appetizing snack.
Tonight I am going to get my fridge organized and get everything ready for tomorrow. I seem to be flying by the seat of my pants for the last week or so. I really think it is just the heat down here getting to me... I seem to be in slow motion. You think I would be use to it... I have lived in NC since '82!
Morning Everyone!
Been a while since I've been on this forum. Taking some time to get back to the basics. It's been 4 years this month since I had surgery. So many changes, it's hard to believe it could be that long ago! Since surgery, I lost 100 pounds and have maintained the last 3 years. Now I'm wanting to get back to losing and finish the weight loss journey. It's harder after the honeymoon faze, but still do-able!
Today consists of getting my oil changed and going to work. For exercise today I taught a cycling class (became a certified instructor 3 years ago).
Time since surgery: 4 years
B- Greek yogurt with chia seeds
L- Open-face Tuna Sandwich and fresh bell peppers
D- Tofu with brown rice
S- String cheese and blueberry muffin (made with protein powder to replace most the flour)
TOTALS: Cals: 1,022 Protein: 82
Hope everyone's having a great day! I'm on west cost time, so will be posting later than most
