discouraged and sad
I am 4 months out and in the month of June I have only lost 2 lbs! I am doing what my nutritionist and dietician says. They advise me to eat 3 meals a day and eat no more than 4 oz and no snacking at all. I have friends telling me I could be eating too little which may be putting my body into starvation mode but I'm doing what I'm told. I don't know what to do. For a person my size I feel that 2 lbs in a month is way too little! Someone please give advice, positive vibes.

Hi Chavon - I'm so sorry the results haven't been meeting you're expectations. That does seem very odd!
I could hardly eat 2oz of food at a time for the first 2-3 months post op.
I can only suggest what I did, I lost on average 12-13 pounds a month and it took me 12 months to loose over 160 pounds (that includes my pre-surgery weight loss). I went from 311 to 145 (lowest was 137 but that was when I was sick in the hospital with a nasty infected bowel problem). I am back up to 160 and working hard to get back down to my goal again.
1. track ALL you're food AND drink, don't estimate actually weight it out and size it out (pretty much as soon as I stopped doing this and just guessed and added wine to my diet I gained weight)
2. no white flour, sugar and cut the "refined" carbs out or way down - I try to get my calories into the 30% protein range everyday
3. drink water in between you're meals
4. add a half an hour of cardio a day to you're routine and don't miss or skip, do it everyday! When you hit a plateau or as you are closer to you're goal weight you will have to change this up and do more and more to increase the deficit because you'll be lighter
It can be done - you can do it!
