Gas all the time, Help

With RNY you don't have a pyloric valve and your food goes into your intestines pretty quickly. In a normal stomach, that food would be pre-digested by stomach acids and then released to the intestines. The gas is likely the result of the undigested food in your intestines. Your intestines are working extra hard to break that food down. That is what is making the gurgling sounds you hear too.
Chewing your food really well helps, but you will probably always be gassy. Someone else suggested Devrom for the odor. It really does work on the smell, but you will still be passing gas.
Not to make light of this but my husband calls me the farter! l have had the gas situation since right after surgery. No matter what I eat, how fast, how little - I still have gas. I take beno every once in a while but I have just learned to live with it!
Apparently the average person makes 14 toot's a day - I look at my situation as a little more than average!
I know it may be bothering you now, but in the long run it will have no bearing.
And eat! don't not eat just to spare a little gas situation...
p.s. cabbage and beans really do me in but I eat them anyway and blame the smell on my dog, husband or step kids lol
