What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
I may be working this weekend but I really hope not. I bought a new vacuum, Shark Rocket Deluxe, and I have been having a ball with it! And, I want to really play with it over the weekend. It has automatic drive, but you almost have to run to keep up with it... it is like a workout. And then you can just step on the floor thing and the wand will just pop out and you can do the ceiling! I had originally purchased it to clean my hard surface floor but it is amazing on carpet. I have a 15 year old Kirby that I bought, well 15 years ago that I thought was cleaning well... not! Also, the most perfect thing, is that it does not drive my dog crazy so you don't have to fight her to vacuum. Is it weird to get so excited over a vacuum cleaner?? So, I hope my weekend consists of vacuuming... I am so old! I would also like to go see Jurassic World... we'll see. And, I want to venture to Goodwill, too.
Up until last October, I drove a 2001 Mustang convertible. Then, I was T-boned and Sally passed away. I had inherited her from my son when he went into the Navy and I took over the car payments, years ago. I drive vehicles until they die... I have never been one to have to have the best of the best. Now, I have a 2006 GMC Envoy, that I love. I named him Brad... lol. He is old and has lots of mileage but is pristine inside and out. I feel like I ride in real luxury. And, I do love him... don't judge.
My menu today:
B1: Tea with SugarLeaf
B2: 1 oz Cabot's Seriously Sharp cheese
L: homemade meatballs (I froze the rest... I have had enough of them now), dill pickles and maybe a SF jello cup
D: 2 oz of broiled shrimp and 2 oz of broiled scallops (if I can get it all down).
S: Protein Hot Chocolate

Everyone have a great weekend!! Be safe!
OK trying to sneak in before noon...LOL. I had a big day yesterday - few hours at the beach, it was gorgeous, water was clear, very little seaweed, walked the beach.... then went home and jumped in my pool, floated around on my new float that I have been eyeing forever in the Frontgate catalog for $!75 - not happening.... then saw it on Zulily for $75. Still expensive, but had to do it. It is amazing, and it has a frontgate label on it... so literally the exact same float! score! Last night went to see Tim McGraw at the Jones Beach Theater, which is an outdoor venue that overlooks the ocean. Gorgeous night. Got lots of steps in too walking from the parking lot and climbing to the nose bleed section. Only snafu in the whole day is the air quality was poor all day and I was outside all day, and now my asthma is acting up.... booo... Graduation tomorrow, and Sunday going to see my niece get her first belt in Tae Kwon Do.
B: Tea, Chai smoothie
L: Steak, greek salad, watermelon (Friends coming over for pool/lunch. thought this was a safe menu)
D: Chicken salad, lettuce roll-ups
S: popsicle, greek yogurt

Been busy this week so missed posting but still maintaining. Son had a job interview Wednesday for a job in Kennesaw Georgia,so if you are a praying person say a prayer that if this is the job for him he will get it. Weight today at 118 and three miles done at park with Lily by 7 am. Will do 3 more on treadmill in a few minutes. Feeling very thankful for my surgery today. I feel so strong and free somehow without all the weight I used to carry. I love that I can go in any store and buy clothes and they actually look amazing too! On track with vitamins and fluids and here's the menu: B 1/2 c oats with nuts and half a banana with peanut butter L 31/2 oz chicken and 1/2 c blackberries D 31/2 oz tilapia Florentine and 1/2 c blackberries S Greek yogurt with nuts. Got to finish up the blackberries before they get too ripe! I drive a 2007 Chevy Colorado(bright red). Have a great weekend full of good choices everyone!
It's Friday - yay! Even on summer break I fully appreciate Fridays. :) I don't have much planned for the weekend, just meeting up with some friends, but I'm planning on staying busy with cleaning out my room. (ugh)
Went to the gym this morning for a yoga class and it was cancelled for training (boo!) so I just ended up on the elliptical instead. I've worked my way up to about 45-50 minutes, or a little over an episode of the West Wing (I'm nearing the end of season 2). I love wifi at the gym.
B - Cappuccino soy protein shake
L - HEB vanilla greek yogurt 100 (w/ pistachio pudding mix & almonds) & 1.5 oz turkey breast deli meat (w/mustard)
S- popcicles & roasted peanuts in shell
D - shrimp ****tail (2.5 oz shrimp, 1 tbls fage 2% greek yogurt, 1 tbls fresh ****tail sauce, 1/2 small avocado cubed, tobasco, salt, pepper & cayenne pepper)
When I took a job out of town a few years ago, I got a new car and I love it. I have a Honda Civic 4dr 5 sp and it's my baby. It has a lot of room, it's really efficient and it comfortably carries lots of passengers. It will be paid off in the coming year and I hope to have a long life with it. In the realm of dream cars, I have always wanted a range rover. Those things are wonderfully all terrain and I could take it from the lake to our ranch without worry. Though since I have neither the money or the real need, it will stay in the dream realm.
I hope everyone has an awesome weekend.
