Starting the pre-surgery freak out

Oh god I could finish a bottle of wine right now!  (I know people are going to take this the wrong way) I could happily stay obliviously drun****il surgery day just to make it go by faster and not think about it.  LOL  My period is killing me today, but I am calling "me time" and forcing everyone to leave me alone while I just relax and work from my bed.  

My husband has a few meetings in the morning that he has to go to, then he is coming to the hospital when I go to get checked in.  I go in around 11am, and my mom and kids are taking me.  I am wondering if they get to hang out with me while I am waiting to go into surgery.  Thankfully my mom lives 5 minutes from the hospital so the kids and my husband can hang out with each other there and go to the beach while I'm in surgery.  That is a lot easier than sitting around in a waiting room.
