I pretty much did absolutely nothing until I was 7 months out and had lost over 100 pounds. My body hurt before that and I'll admit I was lazy. I still managed to get to goal and stay here.

Do not beat yourself up for not doing more right now. Do what you can.

I started walking the next day and I had open RNY. Don't need to do a marathon but you need to walk at least asap

I began walking the day of surgery.   For the first few weeks I did laps around my house, I still do them when I wake up in the morning and am stiff from trying to sleep.   I do them at night if I'm watching TV when the commercials come on.  I was cleared at two weeks to begin "light aerobics", but I only recently started doing anything other than walking.  I do lift 3 lb weights 3 times a week, 3 sets of 10 of about 6 different exercises.    I am 7 weeks out today.  I do not do any abdominal exercises as I have an umbilical hernia and I'm having surgery for that next week.
