Went to my doctors yesterday and finally had all 90 of my staples removed after a month. Boy it feels good!

I am doing well and have lost 38 lbs since surgery on May 5. Doctor feels I am doing really well considering the complications I had. My surgeon suggested in 6 months I have surgery to make my stomach smaller, because of all the complications my stomach is 4X bigger than it should be. I never say never but I don't see any other surgery in my future. LOL This was enough. I will be happy with whatever weight I loose. I am following the diet as they have directed and am eating soft foods. I haven't had any issues with food but always stop before I feel full. I just eat the amount they have suggested. I am also walking every day. I have also scheduled an appt on Monday to start indivdual therapy. I know it will be good for me. The women I will be seeing works specifically with food issues. I am just grateful I am feeling a bit better.

Has anyone else ended up with a stomach bigger than doctor thought they could do? I am curious to see how others have done overtime.

Sue

I don't know your story, but wow! 90 stitches, no wonder it felt good to get them out. 38 pounds since surgery is great whether or not you have a larger stomach. I didn't have any complications, but my only thoughts are it is probably going to be very important to not eat slider/too soft foods -  eat more solid food (When you get past the stages) and also not to drink with meals so you don't push the food out too soon. Feel better, and good luck.

Yes, the doctor encouraged me to not do the slider foods, as much as possible. I am doing pretty good so far. I am trying to introduce new foods slowly. Thanks!
