When you're sick what do you eat?

I've been feeling ill this week - nothing big, but my head is killing me and been nauseated all week. I've been wanting Sprite and saltines - both of which I don't eat or drink anymore. I haven't thrown up or anything but I'm not super interested in food.

Any suggestions for RNY safe sick food?

When I feel crappy I usually have chicken broth and yogurt....Not mixed. LOL. Just my safe stand-byes.

Ha, that made me laugh. I was thinking yogurt too. Chicken noodle soup is the other thing I want but I don't eat noodles lol.

My surgeon recommends going back to clear non carbonated liquids when ill until better.

I've been feeling sick this week too. I've been drinking a lot of beef broth (the dissolvable bouillon cube kind) for that saltiness I crave from saltines.

I have been super lucky and haven't felt anything more than just very mild nausea since surgery. I just make sure to get in extra water since in my case, I only get icky feeling if I've not had enough to drink.

I hope you feel better soon!!

homemade egg drop soup.  add some spices to (pepper, or garlic, ginger) .

1-2 eggs, pour slowly into boiling chicken stock. add herbs (dill - yum) ... eat it.

When I was not feeling that great, I returned to stage one and worked back up the stage chart. even just taking you water and vitamins will keep you ok, and fit in protein some how too. The other stuff is good when you feel better. If thing prolong or appear to get worse, contact your PC.
