Good for you!! I would consider this a BIG NSV.
Personally, I got around the seat extender issue in my SUV by simply not wearing the seat belt (am not condoning this behavior by any stretch of the imagination!). But, when I get into my truck tonight when I leave work, I am going to try and see if my seat belt fits yet.
Great job!! I fly a lot for work and always carried my own extender because I was mortified having to ask for one. About 6 weeks ago, no more extender needed!! I finally threw away my collection!!

A painful memory story: three hours away from home, I was stopped by a state trooper and fined $125 for a seatbelt violation. I couldn't tell the state trooper the belt didn't fit or else he wouldn't have let me drive home. (after handing me the ticket, he either didn't notice the seatbelt was tucked in my fat rolls instead of being fastened or else he pretended not to notice) There's a good ending to this story: After WLS, I traded in my elastic-waist pants for jeans and now wear a seatbelt buckle belt in celebration. Google "seatbelt buckle belt"--the coolest, corniest belt I own.
