What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
So sorry to hear that your gallbladder turned on you. But, if you are anything like me, you will feel SO much better after surgery. I had mine removed 8 months after my WLS and the difference was immediate. Also, the recovery was great. I had surgery on Friday, was back at work on Tuesday and was on a plane for a work trip on Thursday. Good luck and feel better soon!
Good morning ladies! That's pretty funny about the sensitivity training! I have to admit a few of the staff at my hospital said some pretty stupid things to me. None were actually insensitive or offensive, but lots of "Well you don't look like you need surgery" etc. I did find it a bit odd.

Good morning,
Another rainy day, don't mind it so much except for the fact I had to turn my heat on this morning since it was freezing! I have my portable heater on right now because my feet are still cold (and I work for a heating company).

Good morning! Today is my 11 month surgiversary and I am still thrilled I had this surgery. Yes, i have my ups and downs but everyday I thank my lucky stars I was able to do this. I have pretty much decided I am happy where I am weight wise. I'm not actively trying to lose anymore. Maybe this is stupid only 11 months out but I just feel I don't need to lose anymore. Am I crazy?
Starbucks was closed for remodeling this morning!! How dare they! Don't they know I NEED my iced coffee fix?

Hi Kristin! Great training... I am almost always late to the party, but I do go back and read it all every day, even if it is at midnight :)... I hit a milestone 150lbs!! I posted bout it with pics on the main RNY board.
B: Tea, green smoothie
L: Shrimp taco made from Costco cilantro lime shrimp and 1 corn tortilla with avocado and Costco fresh organic salsa.
S: Homemade fruit popsicle, cheese stick
D: Spiralized zucchini toss with chicken. (trying it out for the first time)
S: greek yogurt and blueberry compote. (Had bought one of those honking huge things of blueberries from Costco and wasn't going to fini**** before it went bad, - so I put it in the pan rinsed with the water still clinging to them...and cooked it with some Swerve sweetener, cinnamon and some lemon juice, 1 tsp cornstarch - like the inside of a blueberry pie and it took like 5 minutes.)

My support group (a community based one-not the hospital) had a food demo day where we all showed each other recipes. This one woman brought her spiralizer and made spiralized zucchini with a pred pepper cream sauce... soooooo freakin' good. Now I have one of these what looks like a vegetable peeler that makes strings... but this because of the curls when it went in the pan it still kept a nice bite even though it was cooked. I guess because not every part of the zucchini is touching the heat. I bought mine off he Kohl's website with my 30% coupon. If it doesn't work well, I am returning it for the one this woman had... they all look the same, but that doesn't mean they all work the same.
This is her's Actually the green is a better color than white, because it will get stained from the veggie juice that comes off. There was a warning in the box of my white one that said 'this is not s defect'...
