Working out, without a gym!
Hi OH friends,
I had such a great workout this morning that I thought I would share. I have gotten in a rut where I go to the gym everyday but I either do a class, or I do the elliptical. I find myself at a loss if I have to create my own workout without a teacher/class to motivate me.
So I decided to make a list of exercises that I have done in classes before, and downloaded a great free app called "Interval Timer". I set the app to have 20 1:15 intervals and hit start. Then I went down the list of exercises. Even when it feels tough, I say to myself, "I can do anything for one minute and 15 seconds!" and guess what, I make it through. At the end of the half hour, I am sweaty and feel significantly stronger. I honestly use 10 lb weights and a mat at the gym, but I feel like you could use cans of tomatoes and a rug if you are at home and don't have access to a gym!
Two people I follow on Instagram who give good workouts are: @BodybyBrookeA and @alexajeanfitness
Hopefully this is helpful for even one person :) If anyone wants to share their list of workouts, I would love that too! This is a mix of cardio bursts and strength training. Have a good day! Emily
Thanks for this! I travel a lot and get sick of hotel treadmills :)
