Congrats Grim, that's awesome! I've got a 245 day streak going myself. I'm also glad to hear you have some "bad" days but still stay on track overall -- my dietitian's motto is "aim to be a B student" which doesn't sit well with my perfectionist, all-or-nothing mentality, so it's great to see you have so much success with that in the real world.

Wow!  Congrats, I'm a logger too, I know I would start packing on the lbs if I were to bury my head in the sand again and pretend that calories I didn't log didn't count.  Thanks for the great inspiration and here's to another 1000!

Although I starting logging on MFP prior to surgery, somedays I would forget then go back and add what I ate for the previous day.  I didn't realize it bumped you back to ZERO days when you did that until YOU pointed it out.  Being the OCD personality that I am, I now make sure I log something every single day to keep up my 205 day streak.

Damn you and damn me for my competitive nature

Tracking the good, the bad and the ugly is a constant in my post WLS life.  It's accountability which I refused to accept and put me up to 449 lbs.  You cannot lie to yourself when you see the calorie creep in cold hard digits.  And I agree, it's too bad those who complain about weight gain often refuse to utilize this simple tool.  To each is own.

Congratulations on reaching 1,000 days   May you last longer than Anne Boleyn.

That is a great accomplishment!  I did mfp for the first 6 months almost everyday.  The last 4 1/2 not so good, I started again this morning and hopefully will continue.  I am getting close to goal and I want to make sure I stay there.  I know rny is a tool only, and it is hard work to not let old habits creep back in.   Thanks for all your posts, I always enjoy reading them.

Congratulations. I am sure your list has a lot of steak on it. I was using a different tracker but have found the MFP better.

You have helped me so much with your common sense approach.  With diabetes, I had been using different food tracking software since about 1993.  Some of them were very expensive.  My Fitness Pal is the best of anything I have ever tried and it is free.

Wow! Seeing that 1000 Day Streak on MFP must have felt awesome!

Do you still plan most days in advance or do you just track what/when you're actually eating?

I usually only plan in advance if I've had a couple of bad days, or a bad week. Planning in advance then helps to get back on top of things. It's like, "Here's how much I can eat, and I need to stick to it. If I eat it all too early in the day, I'll be sorry." Sometimes it helps, for sure.

Agree 100% about the tracking.  At 2 years out I'm still using MFP and can't envision a day when I won't do it.  I'm about 285 days behind you ;-)
