I'm with mamata . . . any spa treatment - facial, mani/pedi, massage.  I treat myself each week with a manicure if I work out 4 or more days that week.

Very nice pic AV!  Now a confession, until now everytime I read your posts I pictured you as your avatar!  LOL.  Thank you for clearing that up ;)

No pic for me this week.  I feel bloated and gross and I know its my eating.  I was good for the most part yesterday.  Too many carbs and sugar but not completely off the deep end like I have been most of the week.  I also got in a quick 3 mile run at lunch yesterday which felt amazing.  This weekend is full of swim meets, lacrosse games, and a job interview.  I applied for a part-time (very part-time) position at a large hardware store.  I need some extra money to fuel this triathlon addiction of mine.  Keep you fingers crossed that they hire me despite my limited availibility.

Time since surgery: almost 11 months

B: Latte and coffee

S: 1/2 Quest Bar

L: Chicken breast

S: Protein Shake

D: Black bean noodles and marinara

Post workout: EAS Carb Control Shake

W/V: Started

E: 2000m Swim

Have a great weekend all :)

What are the stats like on those black bean noodles?  What kind do you get?  Is there flour in them at all?

Here is a link to the info:

Black Bean Noodles

25 grams of protein, 12 grams of fiber and Gluten Free.  The texture isn't perfect but my kids will eat them which says a lot!

hhmmm interesting!  I have told myself I wont eat rice, pasta, potatoes et****il I am in maintenance, then decide if I want to reintroduce small amounts.  Carbs were part of the reason I needed surgery in the first place.  So I think I will probably just go without.

I flip flop between thinking these would be a good alternative for me, but then I think will it just bring me to start thinking that regular pasta will be fine....UGH

yes! You and are totally on a similar page.  Carbs are my downfall and I am not going to consider how to manage them until I'm at my goal weight.  my problem is control, or the lack thereof, with anything bready/pasta-y.
