OK I thought it was Friday too and took my pic on my phone this morning so I could post it... then when I got here I was like why doesn't it say (PHOTO) Friday? Oops!
One of the community support groups I belong to, (LIPO= Long Island Post Ops) had arranged a free self defense class a few weeks ago at a martial arts studio. A few of the women go, so last night I decided to join... you pay 6 weeks at a time, which is my speed- I hate long gym/class commitments. Once you join you can do their other classes as well... so last night I did 60 minutes kickboxing, and then 90 minutes self-defense back-to-back.... that was crazy and I was dead...

I love a good movie. I also love classic old movies and musicals - Philadelphia Story, Sound of Music, Singing in the Rain, etc. I also love really cheesy rom coms - You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, Wedding Planner, a Wedding Singer, etc. And don't get me started on really stupid comedies - anything with Will Farrell, Galaxy Quest, Monty Python. I love A League of a Their Own and Bull Durham because they combine classic, baseball, romance and comedy! I could watch Moonstruck on repeat for s long time and never grow tired of it; it's like watching a home movie for me. We even had a few of the exact furniture pieces in my childhood home!
Anyway, great posts everyone, lots of good Netflix/Amazon Prime ideas! My hubby is away on a boys trip for the next several days so I can watch all the movies I want without getting laughed at, so I will be indulging in several of these.

I'm a movie junkie! There's so many favorites to list but I'm gonna give it a shot. The little mermaid, McClintock (John Wayne film), pitch perfect 1 and 2, and the lion king. So maybe I'm a 6 year old girl in the body of a 24 year old lol.
B: chocolate premier protein drink
L: deli turkey and pimento cheese roll up
D: was thinking maybe homemade tomato soup?
Not really sure what the guidelines are for soup. Anyone have any suggestions?
24! Oh, those were the days, my friend (that was a song in the 70s)... to be so young! I just wanted to say, good for you for making a decision so early to take care of your weight issue. I wish I would have had the opportunity to do so at your age. You are going to do great.
I don't know when your surgery was, but soup for me wasn't appetizing during my liquid stage. Heck, nothing was then... lol! But, I can do soup now... very limited. And it depends what it is but, I probably wouldn't eat with it because it is a slider for me. I can do maybe 1/2 cup at 3 months out. I only ate soup today because I had some dental work and my mouth is still sore. I don't know if you put protein powder in your soup, but I probably would if I were you. Genepro is good to add... it has 30 grams of protein in a tablespoon. And, you can't usually taste it.
And I love Pitch Perfect, too! My daughter in law and I are going to have a girls night out to go see Pitch Perfect 2... I can't wait!
By a slider, I mean that I don't get a full feeling from it and could overeat it. Like if I had soup, I could probably eat right after I ate the soup. I do stop at like 1/2 cup but could probably eat more... I just have to chose not to eat more.
Another slider for me is cashews, for some reason... I can just eat and eat them without feeling full.
These are the only 2 things that I have found so far that do this for me. I have heard others say tha****ermelon is that way but I haven't ate any yet so I don't know if I have that issue with it. I try to stay away from fruit (except cherries and strawberries because they are available and I LOVE them) because of the unnecessary sugar. But I am very careful when I do the fruit to measure it and not have more than 1/4 cup at a serving.
