I Cracked Myself Up Today!
I bought slices of deli roast beef to try for the first time since approved for it a couple weeks ago. I stored it in the fridge at work.
I had no idea how much an ounce would look like and don't have my little kitchen scale at work. So, I took my meat into the mailing area at work and weighed it on the postal scale!
Seriously, I don't even recognize myself! Who is this girl that's logging every morsel on My Fitness Pal and weighing roast beef on the company postage meter? I can tell you, this is one very different woman than she was just 3.5 months ago. I actually had to laugh at the new me... but in a very proud-of-myself kinda way.
That's great, good for you. Weighing portions is key for me.
Deli meats were great for me early out. Ham and chicken were even easier going down than the roast beef.
Keep up the great work.

So glad you found you can eat the beef. Roast beef and steak are among the things Taz (my pouch) will not accept. And I had always loved them due to the food association of Momma having that as a special meal. We all loved it, but to be able to afford a roast to cook didn't come often. The time to do it was hard for a single working outside the home as well as inside, mother of 4 to come by.
As for the measuring it and the reaction you got, YOU will be the last (and hardest) laughing when your dedication to following the guidelines to make, and keep, you healthy pays off by hitting your low weight when it happens. They will see then WHY you kept up with "these little things" that people wanting to lose will often start doing. But start to "hide" it after it attracts attention and giggles. Then they give up. But you have something they don't, YOU CAN KEEP IT UP and BLAST that weight away. You have the tools and are learning to use them. Keep the determination and show them just how YOU ROCK a healthier and skinnier you. Stay strong Not all strength if physical, but it is equally important as the physical strength. You did great
