It Works! Hair Skin Nails vitamin
Honestly, yes, it does work. But its because of the main ingredient. Biotin. The distributors will have you taking about 10mg of biotin a day. That is GREAT for hair and nails and skin. The fennel is also great for skin. But you can get these things for WAY cheaper in your supermarket vitamin section. Just go there, and look for discounts from vitamin vendors. If you write an email to Sundown you can get $5 off coupons by the boat load from them! It really helps, and you are taking the same thing. The other extracts are really not useful, and the other vitamins you get from your multi which you should still be taking.
I have a serious problem with thin hair as well, and I started biotin about a month ago. It takes about 1 to 2 months to see the change. But I am starting to see it. Just buy yourself biotin from the store.
Oh so can I buy Botin at Walmart? That's about the only store we have in this small town....and that will help with growing my hair back? My hair used to go just passed my butt and now it's so thin and stringy it's at my shoulders. IT's a small price to have paid for losing all the weight I did but I suffer severe depression and now with these horrible hair issues it makes my depression worse. I am going now to buy this stuff Biotin and pray that it helps even if it just helps grow healthy hair Thank you for your advice
Absolutely! They carry Nature Made and Spring Valley, along with a few others. Nature Made carries a Hair, Skin and Nails that is a biotin and vitamin c combo in a fast melt. About $6 a bottle. And it has 1-2 months worth of tablets in it depending on how much you take. (it directs you to take 2 tablets. I double the dosage personally)
Biotin isn't magic, it is just a vitamin like all the othee B Vitamins. If you are deficient in it, then of course taking it helps, but taking much too much of it has been known to cause growth of excess facial hair (which is permanent).
If you are still down 75% of your hair five years after WLS, something else is definietly going on and just taking biotin (even in combination with other vitamins/herbs is very unlikely to help!
When was the last time you had a full set of labs? Hormone levels checked? Please see your doctor about this. Hair loss can be caused by a numebr of deficiencies and underlying medical conditions.
Losing 75% of your hair after WLS is extreme. I lost half of mine, based on ponytail thickness, and that was almost enough to get me to buy a wig. I didn't get all of the lost hair back, but did get most of it back.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I have taken Hair and nail vitamins and Biotin on and off for at least a decade. They always helped my nails but never my hair. My hair started having problems when I was perimenopausal, and I always had very thick hair. I could not grow my hair, it would break. Well I started taking the "It Works" brand (I do not sell it) last October after my surgery, I only take one per day, (they recommend 2 per day) and it is the only one that has helped my hair. My hair has grown so much even my hairdresser is shocked...
