does it continue for life?  I do dump A LITTLE, but enough to keep me "honest!"   Does it fade away with the honeymoon phase?

Well, I am almost 5 years out and I still dump. Not as bad, but like you said enough to keep me honest. I will never eat ice cream or cereal with milk again in this life time!

Too much sugar or fat on an empty pouch will definitely cause a reaction still. Even too many sugar alcohols will make me sick.

I also know some people will be affected by reactive hypoglycemia after awhile.

I try to look at it as a great behavior modifier.

it faded a little for me.. I also learn what made me dump really fast - really hard - and never try that again..

but my RH got worse over time...

Even with dumping and severe RH that I have - if I want to eat "sugar / carbs"- I could.. I could eat around it....7 years post op - I chose not to do it.  (but it is a hard work)
