What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
I'm in a little bit of a funk since getting home from my trip to my son's. Need to get back in the swing of things. Haven't gone food shopping yet, pulled some things out of my freezer when I got home and made tuna. Finally found a vanilla protein I love... Bodylogix Natural Whey Bodylogix I love that I can buy it in Walgreens and they put it on sale. They sell it at GNC too but more expensive. Discovered it the last time I was at my son's as Walgreens is in walking distance... I bought chocolate, this time I went I bought vanilla. They do sell a version that is all whey isolate... Thinking of making up 'smoothie packs' for the freezer. Now that I have a vanilla I love, and the warm weather is coming, I would like to make some fruit and greens smoothies in the morning. I desperately need the fiber and I figure the protein and the spinach or kale will help buffer the sugar in the fruit so it doesn't send me into carb cravings.
Going to see the dietician today, so hopefully that will kick me into gear.
B: Pina colada smoothie
L: tuna on 1 slice ezekial bread with 2 tbsp shredded cheddar melted on.
S: protein bar
D: Veggie Chili with Genepro unflavored protein mixed in. (This was a pampered chef freezer recipe I tried, and cooked up amazing well)
S: greek yogurt
E: 45 minutes on rebounder
PS. AV can you post the Buffalo Chicken Salad recipe again? It was amazing... this time I will write it down and put it in a safe place. :)

Sorry you are in a funk. It happens sometimes. Traveling can put us out of wack to. I found sugar-free banana syrup on Amazon and I will make a smoothie once in a while with vanilla protein powder when I am not hungry or when my pouch doesn't feel that good.
I sometimes feel like I am so boring when I shop for groceries. I buy most of the same things every week. I always have tuna and eggs on hand. I buy ham steak it is high in protein and easy to make. I will buy chicken burgers that are already made and cooked from Costco.
Hmmm... I have never seen these precooked chicken burgers from Costco you speak of. Fresh prepared dept or frozen? Name brand? I have tried the meatballs, but with summer here burgers would be nice. Not too dry? How do you cook them?

They are in the area where all of the cheese and stuff is. They are pre-cooked. I can't remember the name but they are nice to have around when you are tight for time and can't figure out what to eat.
They are chicken gouda burgers they may be near the chicken apple sausage.
My favorite!
1 can chunk chicken breast
1/2 c. crumbled bleu cheese
small container plain Greek yogurt
1/2 packet ranch seasoning
couple-five dashes Frank's Red Hot
chopped onion and celery, S&P
Thanks! Yummmm

Good Morning! It is always fun reading through the thread :) How awesome of your co-workers to bring in food they know you will enjoy! I needed a "reboot" this morning! Started last night when I got in the car after my hula hoop class 1.) Low tire pressure warning 2.)Screw in tire 3.) took hubby's car (he's a gem and taking care of the tire repair for me today ) 4.) low-jack battery dead so he gets called and woken up when I left for the gym 4.) got a crummy elliptical at the gym this morning---so at that moment I told my mind REBOOT! Nothing major I know but just strange how it all happened like that!

Good Morning All,
I have nothing interesting to add to the convo today...other than I am literally counting down the days until we get a 3 day weekend! Sounds like most of us could use the extra day off to get a reboot :)
Time since surgery: almost 16 months
B - 2 string cheeses
S - jerky
L - chicken salad and tomatoes
D - TBD (but I have leftover meatloaf and veggies that I think I'll heat up)
W/V - On track
E - a 5 mile hike after work with some friends. We have this hike called the loop near my house and I was always to intimidated to try it, but tonight I'm going for it! Hopefully I won't die and if nothing else it'll be great for my step count :)
Have a great day everyone!
