What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning all and Happy Photo Friday! Anybody got any weekend plans I should be envious of? You can all be envious of me and my plan to install an attic scuttle complete with door and ladder. Yeah, that's going to be fun. I may have mentioned this before, but the hubs and I do not work well together when it comes to home improvement projects. The play room where we plan to cut the opening will be like Thunderdome tomorrow: two men enter, one man leaves. After I emerge victorious (natch), I may head to Destiny and hit up Nordies and VS. Thanks for all the suggestions yesterday!
I think I'm developing (have developed) some kind of milk intolerance. I've had two separate instances of "oh my God I'm going to die" after drinking milk and then yesterday, after eating cottage cheese. These are things I regularly consume, so if this continues I'm going to be pissed. If it branches out into other milk products (I'm looking at you, cheese) I'm going to be super pissed.
Time since surgery: 10 months on Sunday.

Get out there today and get you some!
I have no plans this weekend except to get our pool up and ready... it's just a small Intex pool and it just needs to be cleaned out and refilled and all the pump stuff readied. I have been going to do it for the last month but hubby hasn't been on board. He better get ready because we are doing this whether he likes it or not! And, AV, we don't work well together, either. But it will be a GOOD weekend!
Menu today:
B: 1 oz. terakyi beef jerky, 1 Frigo string cheese (later morning)
L: 1.25 oz shake and bake pork chop, ¼ Cup cherries
S: Strawberry Banana Greek Yogurt
D: 3 oz. Halibut with sauce, ¼ Cup sliced cucumbers
S: Yasso Chocolate Mint Bar (I am getting addicted)
Totals: Calories – 607, Protein – 63, Carbs – 39, Sugars – 31, Fats – 21
Water and Vits - Started
Had the Shake and Bake Pork Chop last night, too. First time for pork (and mine was very lightly seasoned) and it sat well until I decided to take just one more bite... then not so good. I have GOT to get over this taking just one more bite thing... it is not pleasant!
Everyone have a great weekend!!!
I'm glad to know I don't have the only husband who's generally impossible. LOL And the Yasso salted caramel bars are also amazing. A friend told me.
Good morning! I have a half day at work today (yippee) so I can leave town and drive 8 hrs (boo) to Kansas City. I am mostly packed for my first triathlon adventure of the season!! I'm so excited but bummed that my husband and kids are staying here this weekend (too many games and events). I will post a pic on Monday of me sporting a fabulous medal (hopefully) or possibly hitting on an EMT in the med tent (if things go badly). Wish me luck!!
OK, so I have 8 hours on the road today. I plan to hit up Target/Walmart/GNC on my way out of town for snacks. What are your favorite road trip WLS friendly snacks? This is my first long drive post surgery.
Time since surgery: 10 months
B: 1/2 dunkin wake-up wrap and a small brownie (I made a treat last night due to mommy guilt)
S: Iced Coffee and 1/2 Quest bar
L, S, D, S: All unknown due to travel. Gimme your ideas!!
W/V: I plan to have to stop and pee every hour I'll be hydrating so well ;)
E: At some point I am suppose to run 20 min. We will have to see if this actually happens...
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND ALL!
Ooooh, your triathlon!! I can't even imagine doing something like that. You're going to kick ass! Road snacks...def water but you already knew that. I would say maybe some jerky, nuts or trail mix; those P3 packs are great, too, if you're bringing a little cooler or insulated lunch bag. And when I drive to see my Dad, sometimes I bring a blender bottle with a couple of baggies of portioned out Click.
Good luck and I bet you will be sporting a medal!! I am in awe of you great exercisers!!!
I had to take a 8 hour road trip about 1 month ago with my grown son. So, we DROVE!!! I had string cheese, Quest chips, protein bars, etc. We did stop at a Chik Fil A and I had their grilled nuggets... they were good. I had all these snacks but I didn't eat a lot. I never was one to eat in the car... but I was ready if needed.
Have an awesome trip and we will be waiting for pix and details on Monday!

Just got back from Austin Texas had a good time. Was in the city and it poured most of the time. I was glad to get home yesterday. I love to go away but I always love my own bed. I have some plans to work on flower beds so they stay nice so my dogs don't ruin them.
B:Tuna with some egg and sugar-free pickles
L:Tuna
D:Greek salad with chicken
S:Not sure I have to get to the store.
Vitamins are in and water is going down.
