Difference between gas and a stuck pill?

Thanks, I'll try to stick to water today to see what happens. How can you tell the difference between gas from surgery and gas from food?
Gas from surgery is typically gas that is trapped in your body cavity - not gas that you can fart or burp.
It can hurt you in your back, shoulders, etc... Any gas that was trapped in your guts - it was either absorbed long time ago or you passed it.
Gas that you can pass (at eaither end), is from food / drinks.
Btw - some chewable vitamins have SA - so i would get gas from that. sorbitol, manitol, etc. Anything ending in -ol..gave me horrible gas.

That makes a lot of sense. Did you have any trouble with sucralose? That seems to be the primary sweetener in the water flavorings I have.
I do have problem with splenda, but not gas. My issues are allergies. i get very itchy when i get to much splenda, and it irritates my bladder... (~ if i get to much splenda - i become incontinent, and it takes 2 days with no splenda to get control on my muscles...).
saccharine does not bother me, nor Stevia. I buy brand name diet tonic (generics have aspartame- my body hates that). i dilute diet tonic with water ~ 1oz of diet tonic for 8 oz of water. I use lemon in normal drinking water (unless i have ulcer/irtitation). Stevia in my coffee or saccharine if i am out.
Green flavored teas. Herbal teas...

Thanks for all the valuable info! I just bought some Stevia to try in tea. I hope it'll work out better than the -itol sweeteners.
Some people hate stevia aftertaste. I used stevia for a very very long time...15-20 years or so.
I like it, But there was time that i hated it.
I still don't like some stevia, or if i use too much of it (by accident).
