Water

I have a very important post!!! I had RNY 12 years ago and for the first few years I was never seen without a water bottle. I hate water but was compliant. I reached my goal, I learned and followed a very healthy life style . Fast forward to this summer . I self diagnosed low blood sugar as I had all the symptons. The symptoms increased so I had my welcome to Medicare physical. No insurance for years. Well I had abdominal aortic ultrasound, echogram, not covered. I feel bad!!! So thousands of dollars later , guess what's wrong , I am severally dehydrated. When did I last drink water, hmmm don't remember, don't let this happen to you

....not sure I understand...so you were never seen without   water but then stopped drinking water at some point?  How long from slacking on water until dehydration set in? At this week's support group, a member told about his recent bowel obstruction surgery.  As we listened to his horrific story, we started reaching for our water bottles and drinking like mad. Reminders keep us mindful.  Thank you, Kathy.

I gradually stopped the water. Sure I had enough fluids to survive obviously but didn't drink water. Thinking back over the years, lack of water was the answer to many of my symptons. Just don't get slack like I did
