What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
I have been over 400lbs in my life, started this journey at 383, and had surgery at about 360. I swam in my pool in the summer, and used to dance in my kitchen... but didn't start regular exercise until I lost 100lbs. After Christmas in the dead of winter I rediscovered a rebounder trampoline in my house and worked up to 45 minutes most days. I could only do 5 minutes when I was close to 400lbs that is why I never used it. Discovered there are cardio channels on Pandora so I usually play 80's cardio while I do it and watch tv with close captioning. it works. I toy with the idea of joining a gym. Do occasionally go to Zumba and of course take walks. Main thing is keep moving.... Sometimes I would go window shopping just to walk.

I got a stationary bike, as its so much easier on my joints than walking or anything weight bearing. I pop on for 30 minutes and pedal away! I often watch an episode of a TV show or something fun while I pedal. Just start off at your own pace.

137 pounds lost - from a 24/26W to a size 8/10!
I had a really tough day yesterday, all day at work I couldnt keep anything down, not even water! Then when I got home, I was fine! WTF BODY....don't scare me like that! BUT I am going to go back to soft foods etc for a while. Maybe my body was not impressed with the more solid foods? I am calling my surgeons office now. I had been emailing with them yesterday while it was going on.
I also woke up yesterday with a sore throat, and this morning I have a nasty cold going on!! YUCK
So my menu is like up in the air right now, I will put what I have so far!

B: 2 Baybel light cheese
L: Pureed beef & veggie soup, 1 cup
S: 2 Baybel light cheese
D: No idea.....
Oh whew! I was worried about you. Glad you can keep liquids down at least. I hope things lighten up for you today.
Good Morning!
I wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed reading these posts everyday - I have gotten some great ideas of things to try. Most recently I bought the cheese crisps to use as crackers - what a fantastic idea! I have also added the 'thin addictives' to my shopping list. I am 8 weeks post surgery and still trying to navigate my way, so these have been very helpful. Thanks!

I'm worth it!
Oh those birds! They start about 4:30 every morning, some mornings I am already awake, others I am still trying to sleep. I'm still not sleeping through the night most nights, I usually end up in the den around 3:30 0r 4:00 to try to finish my sleep sitting up. It's getting better though, hopefully I can sleep through the night by next week when I go back to work. Those birds better wait until 5:30 to start next week.
