Hey, so I'm a year and a half post op.  Down 105 pounds.  Dr still thinks another 15-20 pounds to lose.  However, I've stayed the same the last few months.  Lately, I've noticed my incisional hernia has gotten bigger.  It worries me.  My Dr wanted to wait to fix it because sometimes he can get insurance to cover skin removal at the same time of hernia repair........... Anyone else have anything like this going on?

I had three hernia's repaired 14 months post-op RNY.  I also had skin removal and extensive muscle tightening done at the same time to avoid further abdominal hernias.  It was all covered by my health system, but I live in Europe.  If the hernia isn't causing you to suffer then I would recommend following your doctor's advice and waiting until you reach goal.  As we get smaller and thinner every pound makes a difference in our appearance and clothing sizes.  Those 15-20 pounds can make a huge difference at this point in your overall outcome.  Just my .2 cents.
