Hi Gang,

Just a short note to let you know about some great NSVs.

It is hot out so time for some new exercise shorts and capris! So I purchased some new tanks and capris in a size SMALL!  This time last year, I was 4 months post op, and needed to purchase LARGES.   Before that, I was in the XXL to XXXL and getting my exercise clothes at Catherines!

Last week a car HONKED at me while I was running down the sidewalk!  I got a honk!  Yay!

Lastly, and the best part, is that I think I am mentally adjusting to my size.  I used to gravity to the size 12 to 14s ...no matter where I was. My head thought that was the size "looked right" for my body.

Since i was a muddy mess from trail running, I just grabbed at size 4 dress off the rack at marshalls cuz it looked right. I would try it and my new shorts on at home after I showered.  It fit!

I started this journey a size 28 to 32 and 17 months later now weigh 138 and am a size 4.

A 4!!!

Like...I never thought I would ever see that number!  The most I had even hoped for was an 8.

Yay 4!

Isn't it awesome to suddenly realize that all the "cute" clothes now fit. It's still hard for me too sometimes to realize how small I am. I bought a bunch of stuff the other day that I need to take back because it's all med and too big. I can't quite get my head around a size small either.

I bet you really rock that size four. What an incredible accomplishment. You better get use to that honking it's going to happen a lot more often now.

On a side note I wanted to say that I have followed your journey closely. You are just a bit ahead of me surgery date wise and always had such a positive attitude that it helped keep me on track. I was a XXXL or at best a XXL when I started and I would read your posts and tell myself if you can be that positive about this journey then so could I. I attribute a lot of my success to that focus. I think we have all had people on here that inspired us to do better or push ourselves harder but I don't think we tell those people often enough.

You keep rocking the size four and I'll keep reading your posts and silently cheering u on.

I do the same thing all the time with sizes.  Just yesterday I went and bought 4 pairs of running shorts in size medium and today had to go exchange them all for small.  It just doesn't seem real!

Or maybe they were honking at you because you were about to step in an open manhole? :-D
