I have ADD and take Vyvanse (40 mg) and find it a very effective dose for me.  12 hours? Not sure about that, never really paid too much attention to when exactly it usually "wears off", but I do know I have noticed the effects at 12 hours and even 14 hours later, as it occasionally makes me feel slightly anxious.
