What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
You are a real life "meet cute" story! I need to hear about the vegetti; have you used it yet? I want one but I'm afraid the spirals won't be thin enough.
Good Morning Everyone,
I'm so happy you finally found the tinaddictives AV, they are delicious. I'll also have to try those parmasean cheese crisp, those sound great as well and I've been making a ton of "salad" type options lately.
Have fun looking at fireman :) Never a bad way to spend a night
Time since surgery: 15 months
B - 2 string cheeses
L - "snack" box from sprouts (pulled rotisserie chicken, some cheese cubes, carrot sticks and a few crackers)
D - TBD, it's my mom's bday so she gets to pick, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Thai food :)
W/V - On track
E - None planned
Have a great day everyone!
Hi All! Sorry I have been absent...I was in Miami last week and then Orlando this week. I came home last night (had to leave a work event early) to fight a traffic ticket this morning, and sort of won. The sun is out and today I am six weeks post-op from my lower body lift and breast lift and cleared for gym classes! So tonight I am back to strength training. Is it crazy that I CAN'T WAIT?! I honestly feel like I have been recovered for weeks...this recovery was so much better than I even dreamed possible.
While I was traveling I had some high carb foods but made sure I was still going to the gym and getting my steps in. My new goal is that my last seven day steps on FitBit are 100,000+, which is just over 14,000 steps a day. So far I have been able to do that for the last two weeks.
I will go to Trader Joe's tonight after the class, but as I scrounge through my fridge, I have cobbled together a menu:
B: Coffee with half and half
S: Trader Joe's jalapeño greek yogurt dip with 34 degree crackers
L: Trader Joe's Just Sauce turkey bolognese (half of the container is 180 calories, 14 protein, 9 carbs and I am not sure I can even eat that much)
S: Cheese!
D: The insides of shrimp tacos at this great little space between the gym and the store
E: Hopefully 14,000 steps plus my class
Have a great day, everyone! It feels good to be back on the post and have my food planned out :)
Wow Em, I'm so impressed with your steps! My steps have sucked lately, I really need to pick it up. Glad to hear you get to get back into the gym tonight, enjoy!
Hello all, just a quick pop in mid day here. Geez, life is busy these days! I have a meeting this evening so I got to come into work a few hours later than normal - but that didn't mean that I didn't wake up at 6am as usual - damn body! I walked about 2.5 miles in the am, had planned a gym trip but was so sore from Pump the other night I decided to just get some steps in instead. I then went to my little niece's swimming lesson to watch which was SO adorable. While the 3s and 4s are doing independent lessons there is a class for itty bitties at the other end and I wanted to die of cuteness.
The evening meeting means a protein bar for dinner between the Library and the meeting - boo! I love Quest bars, I won't lie, but having one for dinner can be depressing LOL.

I have questions!
when am I safe to eat oatmeal? I've been craving it lately (surgery was 3/23)
and what are these sugar free iced coffees everyone is talking about? Iced coffee is my fave! Do yall use a pre made or make it yourself?
also I saw someone had a frappe I'm assuming was from Starbucks, they said it was during happy hour.
Hi, welcome! Oatmeal was one of the first things my team let me eat when I was off the liquid stage. I think I tried the Quaker low sugar. It was fine, but I don't eat it all that often now.
I usually make my own iced coffee, but you can order your drinks "skinny" at Starbucks; they use non-fat milk and sugar free syrup them.
