Barium esophogram

i just came bake from my barium fluoroscopy test. I was taken down and waited an hour and a half until I got the X-ray. In any case the technician told me to take a big amount with the straw and gulp it down. I told him my doctor told me I can't gulp and I should not use a straw. He had a good laugh and told me this was different just do as he says. So I did. What scares me it went down easy and I had no problem. I hope that the surgery worked.
