Any tips for low blood pressure.  Pre op I was the lower side of normal 95-110 systolic. Diastolic usually in the 70's.   Lately it has been much lower, yesterday it was as low as 78/44.  Feel ok though  Maybe salt?? Drink about 100 ounces of fluid a day.

Hi Julie, I asked this a while ago.  The response from the vets was that low blood pressure after WLS is very normal.  My blood pressure was 80/58.  Make sure you're drinking a lot of liquids and not dehydrated.  Adding a little salt will help as well.

Yes, this sounds like me. Same basic stats range. I followed the tips I found here (see Elaine's post above) and found a little bit of added salt is helping.  My surgeons office said our bodies will adjust to this in time, so don't sweat it!

It takes a while, but it does get a little better. Extra saly, and eeen more fluids helps. If you have any dizziness, especially when standing, be careful. I passed out a few times from it.

I was dizzy for the first few months. Just standing from sitting was a problem many times. I'm just over a year out and I can stand without issues most of the time. When I exercise, as my heart rate increases, I have to be careful how quickly I get up if I've been on the floor. Other than that, things have really improved. My doctor told me to increase my salt a little (contrary to popular advice).
